Pennsylvania’s Elder Justice Consortium met on October 2 to plan for the year ahead in supporting outreach on behalf of older adults and their families in need of legal advice and services. Janine Kiah, Charles Widger School of Law at Villanova University, started the conversation about IOLTA initiatives, with reports from recent meetings made by several attendees, including Kate Norton, Duquesne Law and Beth Shapiro, Executive Director of the Gittis Legal Clinics at University of Pennsylvania. In a time with so many people in need, and with ever tightening resources for student clinics, these kinds of planning meetings are essential. More news ahead!
