Not elder law: National Veterans History Project
January 30, 2006
The Library of Congress is compiling the National Veterans HistoryProject. The immediate goal is to get stories of the WWII vets. Stories from people on the home front – Rosie the Riviter, Red Cross bandage wrappers – are also welcome.
Oral historiesfrom veterans from subsequent armed conflicts can also be compiled. Amateur historians can get information from the LOC web site about howto conduct and preserve the interview. The 18-page”Field Kit” of instructions is at http://www.loc.gov/vets/Field_Kit4.pdf.
