July 8, 2005
Professor Richard L. Kaplan is a contributing author of MATERIALS ON FAMILY
WEALTH MANAGEMENT, which has just been published by West Group as the first
coursebook in this newly emerging area of legal practice. The book takes an
interdisciplinary approach that reflects its diverse authorship, which
comprises prominent tax faculty from around the country as well as a
professor at the Harvard Business School. Professor Kaplan's contribution
involves major aspects of Elder Law, including advance directives for health
care and property, paying for health care via Medicare and its supplements,
and financing long-term care through private insurance and/or Medicaid.
