About Katherine C. Pearson

Welcome! I’m happy to welcome you to the Elder Law Prof Blog’s new “home,” here at LexBlog.com. My first experience with blogging was in 2007 when I joined two people I consider mentors in all issues related to law and aging: Professor Kim Dayton, now an emerita faculty member for Mitchell Hamline School of Law, and Professor Rebecca C. Morgan at Stetson University. Between the three of us, we authored thousands of blog posts, and had millions of visitors at the original situs for the Blog, where we were part of the “Law Prof Blog Network” masterminded by Pepperdine Dean, Professor Paul Caron, who had his own revered TaxProf Blog.

We had a sudden decision to make in early September 2025 — and I have accepted the opportunity to migrate content from our former Elder Law Prof Blog to this new location on LexBlog.com, with a commitment to writing additional posts. I hope you will “subscribe.” Please send your comments via email (address below) and help me reshape a new life for this medium of communication about cutting edge issues in elder law.

October 1, 2025 is the first day of my new life at LexBlog.com.

Thank you,
