Another way of looking at the AoA’s budget…

Last week I noted that the proposed 2007 budget cuts the AoA’s budget from last year’s allocation by some $28 million.  Imight also note that the AoA’s proposed budget for a full year of just over 1.3 billion is about the same as what the US will spend in Iraq between today and Feb. 22.  The AoA is responsible for providing states with funding to serve the needs of some 37 million seniors under the Older Americans Act.
