THERE is nothing virginal about Virgin Money’s new home loan campaign showing wild sex romps between elderly lovers. Titled “Everlasting Love”, the print, digital and TV marketing campaign shows a couple married for 57 years in a racy scene. Inthe television commercial – one PG version and one M-rated cut for latenight viewers – another elderly couple doing a spot of gardening throwoff the shackles of clothing before getting busy behind a gum tree. Theyjust couldn’t help themselves after a spray from a stray garden hoseturned a bit of hedge trimming into a wet T-shirt contest. Theinnuendo runs thick and fast in classic Virgin style throughout thecampaign, which is designed to promote a new home loan pushing anintimate relationship between customer and credit provider.
