GAO issues report on CMS “hold harmless” rule

Pursuant to section801(a)(2)(A) of title 5, United States Code, the GAO has issued a report on a major rulepromulgated by the Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicareand Medicaid Services (CMS), entitled “Medicaid Program; Health Care-RelatedTaxes” (RIN: 0938-AO80).  It was published in the Federal Register as a final rule on February 22, 2008.
