Fighting Elder Abuse-Helpful Resources

NAPSA (National Adult Protective Services Association) Resource Center has some excellent materials, including their periodic Research To Practice  Series (R2P), a joint project of NAPSA and NCPEA, which “includes  webinars and publications to assist APS workers and administrators nationwide.”  The series is done with their partners, including NCPEA and NCCD (National Council on Crime and Delinquency). Their most recent R2P one page brief, written by Dr. Hollie Caldwell, is on Elder Abuse Screening Tools in Primary Care. There are 9 other R2P briefs accessible from the website, along with links to bi-monthly newsletters, training materials and research archives.
