In the News: Wake Forest School of Law’s Elder Law Clinic
Wake Forest University School of Law’s Elder Law Clinic is now 22 years “young” and has recently moved its client-service location from a hospital to the law school itself. Clinical Professor Kate Mewhinney directs the clinic, which is staffed by students certified to practice through the North Carolina Bar under her supervision. There’s a great news article highlighting the work of the Wake Forest Clinic in the Winston-Salem Journal. The article demonstrates the importance of law school-based elder law clinics as a source of key legal services for the public while also providing relevant educational opportunities for students.
