Elder Law Inn of Court
I‘m thrilled to announce that the American Inns of Court has granted a provisional charter for the first specialty Inn in Elder Law. The Thomas E. Penick, Jr. Elder Law American Inn of Court at Stetson Law held the inaugural meeting of the Masters on May 7th, 2014. The Inn is named to honor retired Judge Thomas E. Penick, Jr. whose contributions to probate and guardianship are legendary. Intermediate Appellate Court Judge Chris Altenbernd presided at the meeting of the Masters. The Honorable David A. Demers, senior judge (6th Circuit and classmate of Judge Penick) was elected president and the Honorable Herb Baumann (13th Circuit) was tapped to serve as president-elect. The membership committee will be extending invitations to attorneys in the Tampa Bay area (3 circuits) to join the Inn and the first full meeting of the Inn is expected to occur in September of 2014.
This ROCKS!!!!
