15th Annual Age Boom Academy

Columbia University’s  Aging Center’s International Longevity Center at the Mailman School of
Public Health along with Columbia’s Journalism School is hosting the 15th annual Age Boom Academy for journalists. The Academy is scheduled for June 12-14, 2014.  The website describes the Academy

The Age Boom Academy is an intensive seminar for journalists to gain a deeper understanding of the health, economic, and social issues of aging in America…Age Boom Fellows participate in high-impact courses in key areas taught by the leading experts in the field, many of whom later serve as sources for their reporting.  Fellows have the opportunity to brainstorm story ideas with colleagues representing print, radio, video, and online media.  Alumni continue to collaborate with and support one another after the Academy, sharing story ideas and resources…This year’s Age Boom Academy will explore the Over-65 Voters and the Changing Political Landscape.
