Medicare to Cover Advance Care Planning?

On July 8, 2015, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the proposed 2016 Physician Fee Schedule that includes a provision for paying doctors to talk to patients about end of life care.  Referenced in the proposed rule as advance care planning, comments are due by 5 p.m. on September 8, 2015.  The proposed rule will appear in the Federal Register on July 15, 2015.
