How “Old” Do You Feel?

Ever have someone tell you that you don’t look your age?  Do you ever catch yourself thinking you must be much younger than your chronological age? Well, you are not alone in this thinking.  UnitedHealthcare surveyed Boomers and Centenarians, with both groups responding that they feel younger than their chronological ages.  Neither Old Nor Lonesome: New Research Finds U.S. Centenarians Feel Younger Than Their Years, Blessed To Have Lived So Long  reports that centenarians feel like 83 while 65 year old boomers feel like 55.  The survey asks a series of topics including the “keys to healthy aging”, the time of their lives they remember most fondly (20% of the Boomers said their 20s and almost 25% said their 30s), milestones and “becoming their mothers” among other topics.  The story indicates that 104 centenarians were interviewed and 302 Boomers.

Rock on and remember that 60 may not be the new 40, but it might be the new 50….
