Upcoming Webinar on Family Caregiver Agreements

The American Bar Association Commission on Law &  Aging, Senior Lawyers Division, Health Law Section, Solo, Small Firm & General Practice Division –Elder Law Committee & the Center for Professional Development are offering a webinar, Fundamentals of Family Caregiver Agreements:   Taking Care of Those Who Care for Others . The 90 minute webinar is scheduled for January 29th, 2014 from 1-2:30 est.  The registration fee varies from $95-195, depending on membership within the ABA.  The program description from the web page explains:

It is  increasingly common for individuals to be paid to provide in-home care for  persons needing assistance to live independently.  The agreement to pay needs to be in writing  and effective caregiver agreements are more than fill in the blank forms.  Caregiver agreements need to clearly reflect  expectations, and conditions of payment need to comply with Medicaid, tax and  employment laws.  Well written agreements  can be invaluable in avoiding conflicts between family members over payment of  care and services.
