Registration now open for International Elder Law Conference with Veterans Focus
Registration is now open for the University of Hawaii Elder Law Program International Elder law Conference with Veterans Focus, scheduled for November 12-13, 2013 in Waikiki Beach. The two day program includes sessions on women in the military and women veterans; brain injury and psychological issues, including TBI and PTSD, from the viewpoint of patients and family/spouses; international perspectives on elder law; special needs and divorce in the military; setting up law school veterans clinics and training programs for lawyers representing veterans. The Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims is scheduled to hear arguments. Cultural events are also planned in conjunction with the conference. Beverly Keever will give a talk during lunch on November 13, titled “Death Zones and Darling Spies: Seven Years of Vietnam War Reporting.” The schedule and registration information is available from the Elder Law Program.
