Do You Have a Favorite Movie or Book on Aging? Share your Suggestions!

As we are gearing up for the academic year and thinking about our courses, I thought it might be helpful for us to exchange our suggestions for books or movies that we might use in our Elder Law classes. You can post your favorites through commenting to this blog (and as a bonus, we will know if anyone is reading it!).  Use the “comment” link below this entry!

I was reminded of some prior email exchanges about this topic when I read Paula Span’s August 2nd New Old Age Blog that is titled, ‘Still Mine’ Adds to Movies on Aging.” The blog summarizes this movie and mentions some of Ms. Span’s other favorites. By the way, if you haven’t already done so, you should become a regular reader of that blog as well as the Booming section of the New York Times (in addition to this blog, of course).

There are many fine movies and books that are good teaching tools for us. One of my favorites is the movie “Up“. If you haven’t seen it, it is a must-see in my opinion. So what about you? Tell us—what your favorite books or movies to use in your classes?
