Update to Disability.gov offers more info and assistance

The Department of Labor’s Disability.gov website was recently updated with several new resources about communicating with, and about, people with disabilities. It provides examples of appropriate and inappropriate phrases to describe persons with disabilities. Also included is information about the importance of using person-first language and tips for interviewing applicants with disabilities. To access the updated Disability.gov website, please go to
