World’s oldest blogger rules at age 107

AT 107 she isprobably the world’s oldest blogger and cyber granny Olive Riley mayalso lay claim to being the oldest YouTube user.  From herCentral Coast home, the great-grandmother of seven files her The Lifeof Riley blog (or blob as she calls it), which has won her thousands offans across the world.  MrsRiley was born in 1899 in Broken Hill when Australia as a federationdid not exist and NSW was still a British colony ruled by QueenVictoria.  She survived two World Wars and the GreatDepression, witnessed the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, raisedthree children and worked any number of weird and wonderful jobs,including as an egg sorter and station cook in Queensland.  Sheis full of stories, not all of which have made the blog yet, like thetime she punched a schoolmate who was teasing her about her thensurname of Dangerfield.  And the time she accidentally got astation worker sacked because he was watching her through a spy glasswhen she, her daughter and the boss’s daughter were skinny-dipping inthe dam.
