Night of the Living Will

The University of Hawaii Elder Law Program (UHELP) at the WilliamS. Richardson School of Law will hold its annual NIGHT OF THE LIVINGWILL. Professor James Pietsch will provide brief remarks about “thedeath of the living will” upon the enactment of Hawai’i’s UniformHealth Care Decisions Act in 1999 and how the “living will” wasreplaced by Advance Health Care Directives.

Attendees will then be afforded the opportunity to execute anadvance directive, including individual instructions and a durablepower of attorney for health care decisions.
