Hurricane Relief–How you can Help

Received via email earlier this morning:

I would like to strongly encourage all who can to support the relief
efforts in areas affected by Hurricane Katrina.  As many of you know,
millions are without electricity, food, clothing, medical supplies and
clean water.  By making a financial contribution or an in-kind donation,
you are giving victims of Hurricane Katrina a chance to rebuild their
lives.

If you need a little help selecting a reputable organization to make a
contribution, I have listed a few secular and faith-based organizations
(with hyperlinks to their websites):

American Red Cross
www.redcross.org

America’s Second Harvest

Catholic Charities

Church World Service

Episcopal Relief & Development

Hearts with Hands

Humane Society of the U.S.
